romantic evening
| Romantic Evening represents my
"live" sound, familiar to those who have listened to my performances since 1981.
Prior to that, the Hammond B-3 organ was my primary instrument. I spent the 80's in the San Francisco Bay area and the 90's in the Pacific Northwest. Wanting to be closer to my daughter and granddaughters, I returned to my Southern California roots in 1999 and settled in the San Bernardino Mountains. I went to work for my dear friend, Lloyd Soutar in his restaurant, Lloyds of Running Springs. Sadly, Lloyd passed away in March of 2000. I dedicate this recording to his memory and have included in it one of his favorite songs, "Shangri-la". As I write this, I am appearing at a lovely restaurant near Crestline called the Cliffhanger.

The view of the San Bernardino valley from the restaurant is inspiring, a constant reaffirmation of my love for these mountains. Settle back and listen to the piano stylings of Romantic Evening. I hope you enjoy the view! Skip O'Donnell |
